HPG Announces Leadership Changes and Promotions

In sharing several leadership changes and staff promotions, HPG announced that Andy Flynn, MT, ASCP, has been named President and Co-CEO. Flynn is a founding partner and joined HPG nearly 20 years ago. He previously served as Vice President, Consulting Services, and was responsible for the Information Technology team and HPG’s technology infrastructure.

“Andy has provided insightful leadership to all significant HPG decisions since our founding,” said Matt Terstriep, MBA, Founder and Co-CEO. “He has deep consulting and business development experience, and he deeply understands our customers and our team. He’s the perfect fit to move our vision forward and positively influence our culture.”

Flynn will lead the day-to-day operations at HPG and share CEO responsibilities with Matt Terstriep.

Chad Terstriep, MBA, who served most recently as President, has stepped down to take a leadership role at Brew Restaurant Holdings, a restaurant enterprise based in Fargo, N.D., and operated by his wife, brother-in-law and sister-in-law. “We thank Chad for his many contributions to the company for nearly 15 years,” Matt Terstriep said. “We will continue to benefit from his knowledge as a member of our Board of Directors.”

Several long-tenured employees were promoted as part of the leadership changes:

  • Joe Vanderbeek, former Support Center Director, becomes Vice President, Consulting Services, leading the service line and team of Consulting Services experts. Vanderbeek has held various roles at HPG since 2005, including Senior Consultant and Team Lead.
  • John Pearson, Application Services Director, will add Chief Technology Officer to his title. In addition to leading the Application Services program line and development team, he will be responsible for the Information Technology team and HPG’s technology infrastructure. Pearson joined HPG in 2007 and has served in numerous capacities, including Senior Consultant, Team Lead and Support Center Manager.
  • Julia King, MBA, PMP, was named Program Management Director. In her new role, Julia is responsible for the professional development of the Project Management service line and will oversee the team of Project Management Experts. She has been with HPG since 2015 and previously served as a Senior Consultant, Project Manager.
